Odd Fellows of Kentucky — 2026 Events & Highlights

A season of fellowship, honor, and tradition — from summer gatherings along the river to the
solemn and dignified sessions of Encampment, Canton, and the Grand Lodge of Kentucky.

Grand Master’s Picnic — August 6, 2026

The laughter quieted for a moment when Michael Stitt stepped forward to read the Resolution of Respect
for Jane Pyle and daughter Laura, honoring the late Brother Jim Pyle of DeKalb Lodge. It was a sad moment,
but a proud one — the kind of tribute that reminds everyone that Odd Fellowship is not just fellowship,
but family.

Around the grounds wandered the “oddest but most important odds”: Randy Harrison, VG Tim Douglas,
PGM Michael Stitt, Jerry Hafer, Treasurer Ross Webb, Secretary Johny Walker, and DeKalb GM Ron Rice.

Over 90 guests attended, sharing food, fellowship, and stories that stretched longer than the picnic tables.

DeKalb Lodge on the River

The DeKalb Lodge river cruise carried 68 Odd Fellows and odd ladies — and not even a wobble from the boat.
The deck was full of familiar faces, laughter, and the unforgettable moment when someone set up a cornhole board.
Suddenly farmers, auctioneers, lawyers, doctors, and politically‑minded brothers were all equal, tossing bags with
Olympic intensity.

As the boat glided back to shore, one truth was clear: Odd Fellows may be odd, but they are never alone.

Encampment & Canton — October 12, 2026

The Encampment and Canton sessions brought crisp uniforms, polished swords, and the solemn dignity of ritual.
Officers prepared for swordsmanship awards, sabers were drawn in salute, and proud moments were captured
throughout the day.

Grand Lodge Session — October 13, 2026

Delegates, Past Grands, and new officers filled the hall for the Grand Lodge Session.
Brother V. Vogt received the Grand Lodge Degree, followed by the formal swearing‑in of officers —
a reminder of the continuity and strength of our Order.

Cynthiana Lodge #127 Receives Restoration Grant

Cynthiana Lodge #127 received funding to continue restoration of their historic downtown building.
Leadership visited the site, saw the progress firsthand, and reaffirmed the commitment to preserving
the lodge’s legacy for future generations.

Ron Rice — Meritorious Service Award Pendant

Memorial Service

The season concluded with a solemn memorial service honoring departed members.
Candles, regalia, and the quiet dignity of the ceremony reminded all present of the bonds that extend beyond our earthly years.
