All Degree Day

An all-degree day was conducted at the now- closed Merrick Lodge IOOF #3 on Saturday 24 June 2023.

We had three new members who received their last two degrees.

A Degree Rally is scheduled for Saturday September 24, 2022, at the DeKalb Lodge #12 in Maysville. The Initiatory Degree and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees will be put on for all Lodge members who have not received these degrees and wish to obtain them. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd degrees are also the degrees of Friendship, Love & Truth and are required for members to hold officer seats in an Odd Fellows Lodge. All four degrees can be obtained in this partial day event.

Tentative Degree Rally Schedule:

Location – DeKalb Lodge #12, Maysville, 465 Tucker Drive

8:00 to 8:45 am – Donuts, coffee, and soft drinks

8:45 am – candidates sign in to receive their degree work

9:00 am – Degree work commences with the Initiatory Degree

10:00 am – Initiatory Degree work completed

10:00 am - degree work continues with the 1st and 2nd degrees

12:00 noon – 1st & 2nd degree work completed

12:00 noon – lunch provided at the Lodge

1:00 pm – degree work continues with the 3rd degree

2:00 pm – 3rd degree work completed

Note: all members who complete their degree work must fill out the necessary paperwork and submit it to their home Lodge secretary. The home Lodge secretaries are responsible for updating their records and sending this member status information to the Sovereign Grand Lodge Secretary.

Driving directions to the new DeKalb Lodge #12 at 465 Tucker Drive Maysville, Kentucky

• Traveling North on US 68 coming into Maysville, turn right on Tucker Drive at the Super 8 Motel. The new Lodge is about 1/8 of a mile down Tucker Drive on the left.

• Traveling East on the AA Hwy. coming into Maysville, turn right at the Wendy’s restaurant onto US 68 South. Go about 1/2 mile and then turn left on Tucker drive at the Super 8 Motel. The new Lodge is about 1/8 of a mile down Tucker Drive on the left.

• Traveling West on the AA Hwy. coming into Maysville, turn left on the first road after you pass Bob Evans Restaurant, Tucker Drive. The new Lodge is about 1/8 of a mile on the right.

 We came, we saw, we gave them water!

It was warm today; we gave out 100 bottles of water and 100 goody bags full of great Odd Fellow information and goodies for the kids. Some either drove up to us or stopped by and we talked to them about Odd Fellowship. We got some leads and hope to see them again soon. Greg Lundy in red provided the water and ice and IOOF Aaron Lodge 412 labels for the bottles. Victor Vogt came by to assist.
